The Right Resume

Written By Unknown on 28 Jun 2013 | 03:37

We all think our resume will get us a Job, but  90% of the time it becomes the tool for candidate rejection. Ever thought why?
Why does it happen that we keep on applying for jobs and we dont get interview calls? So what really happens, why dont we get shortlisted?

The answer is our Resume is not prepared correctly. Many people think it is easy to write a Resume, copy and paste the format and edit details and insert our information and our Resume is complete. Or is it as easy as Writing your Name on Top, then your Objective, Work experience, educational qualification, hobbies and personal information. Then we have got it completely wrong.
Remember the employer doesn’t want to reject your Resume, you are asking for it to be rejected. So what does the Employer do, they reject it.
Is there a way to prepare a good Resume? Yes there is! We can learn to prepare a good resume by understanding why its made. We should not send the same Resume to every job posted on the portal. We should learn to make Resume's based on the Job Post.
An Employer makes a first impression of you based on your Resume. So don’t miss out this chance to capture a potential employer's attention.
By now we should all know that the average employer only spends a few seconds at a resume, so it is critical that it should leave an impression on the employer.
This is a competitive Job market and your resume must have all the right information for it to stand out from the rest. So if you still feel that your current resume is best and is fetching you Jobs in time then you should just stick to it; but if the answer is no, you need to take a corrective step.
No one will sit and spoon feed you with correct forms of resume required for different Jobs. Remember you should not send the same resume everywhere.
Students nowadays get their resume prepared by paying money to experts. I don’t say that’s bad. You need to understand that we should not send the same resume to all employers. You should learn to edit and prepare your Resume based on the Job Description provided by the Employer.
We at skill2ability teach you exactly how to prepare your resume based on different Job Descriptions. Learn how to make our resume and start looking out for a Job. We have invested more than 15 years in education an additional 4 hours will not do you any harm.
