Every college passout dreams of the perfect job, the perfect work environment, the perfect workspace/cubicle, the perfect 6 digit salary, BUT is everything this perfect in our not so perfect world?
The harsh reality is that there are jobs; maybe not the kind
you dreamt of but even though the job maybe your type you may not get it just
because something somewhere went wrong.
SOME TIPS AND TRICKS
Breaking the Mould: Changing the way we
think about JOBS and facing reality
Easier said than done…Our mindset about the jobs we are looking for need to change. Not everyone gets what they expect. The core problem is EXPECTATION. We expect that all we need to do is just upload our CV’s and the companies offering jobs will just come to the doorstep looking for you.

WAKE UP CALL: Don’t
even expect a call from anyone until 6 months unless of course Lady Luck is on
your side. Use all your sources but still the wait period is minimum six months
before you get a call /job interview call.
The traditional way….I need a job who do I tell???
First they let all relatives and family members know that they are looking for a job. Somehow the first job interview arranged is ideally through a family member, friend or through a job consultant.

You may say the company may not hire me to sing for them if
I have won a singing competition; let me tell you they think differently. They
are thinking- performing against competition and facing crowds – good
presentation/mass media and orator skills.
Hobbies and
Interests: Put in something that would make them hire you. Like reading
books; playing chess; making friends. By these things they can judge that you
are well read; smart (chess requires brains) and you can be a good team player.
