Does a graduation or MBA help you get a 5 or 6 figure salaried job?
Of course it does…Education of any kind is always
beneficial. You may not agree but I just know that it gives you a firm and
solid foundation for any or all jobs in future.
Graduation is nowadays a benchmark for almost all jobs. And
I say you should make the best use of the college environment for an all round
development. A college gives you an opportunity to develop your inner strengths
and to work on your weaknesses. Try to participate in extra-curricular activities
which are offered, take up some projects,
For example: Take up a Cleanliness drive/ project via the
college. In such an activity you will need to approach people to convince them
to join you in doing this (convincing power), chalk out a plan for how to go
about this (strategy and planning), deciding who does what (delegation),
engaging co-students and keeping them focused (team manager and team player), completion
of the project within stipulated time (meeting targets), judging the outcome of
the project and understanding if the project was a success or a failure (analyzing),.
One such project can enable you to understand your inner strengths and to develop
them.
An MBA is nowadays an
add on to your educational background…Not that I am promoting doing an MBA but
it surely gives you that added advantage over others. It enables you to get a
hold of what the current market situation is and how to adapt to it. It also
helps you understand what it requires to fit yourself into the office
environment.
In the end it all zeroes down to the fact that your value in
the job world is determined by your educational background. It helps you
sustain in a volatile and highly non-contemplative economy.
Easier said than done it is tough to sustain in an
environment where there are no jobs for fresher’s and companies only scout for
experienced employees.
In short it means that you need to equip yourself with
whatever you can to be able to fit into a company’s office environment. So also
it is really important to speak well, learn office etiquette and above all
portray confidence in whatever you do. Moreover be aware of all that is
happening around you. Keep yourself updated with current affairs and market
trends to give you an edge over the others.
And let me tell you one thing an MBA or graduation may not
guarantee a 5 -6 figure salary job but yes it definitely helps you get a job.
Refer to our other blogs which speak about various aspects
of how to crack an interview, what is it that you need to work on before you go
for an interview, etc,
